La Lanterna is an event space built on the foundations of a burial monument of the Second Century located on 157 Via Tomacelli. It takes its characteristic name from the glass and steel structure of which it is composed, and stands out from the Roman skyline redesigning the landscape of the Eternal City in a modern way.
The interior spaces are organized throughout the four floors of the Unione-Militare building, these extend to the exterior with a beautiful terrace overlooking the surrounding landscape. Here is possible to enjoy the picturesque scenery of Rome with its majestic domes such as the one of the Basilica dei Santi Ambrogio e Carlo al Corso.
This contemporary version of the classical dome, designed by the famous architect Massimiliano Fuksas with concepts of triangular geometry, allows natural light to flood the interior space taking on the appearance of an irregular mirror. At sunset, it is lights up with a variety of colors creating a surreal atmosphere where users can enjoy it from both inside and outside.
Our event coordinators along with the singularity of the location, and the high adaptability to any personalization, can realize events for any occasion suited for all types of clientele.
